Beijing Midi School of Music is the first modern music school in China approved and registered by the Education Committee of Haidian District, Beijing. When the school was founded in early 1993, it established a clear mission: to disseminate artistic and humanistic modern music theory, and to educate and promote superb modern music interpretation techniques.

Modern music encompasses blues, jazz, rock, pop, electronic, rap, Latin, country, funk, fusion, and other genres that have developed since the early 20th century, as well as a wide variety of styles of music that have grown out of them.
